The Paramount does have a bit of a higher arch so be cautious if you have flat feet or have problems with pronation or supination). I probably wouldn't wear them sightseeing or anything that required a lot of walking, but I definitely was able to wear them for hours out to dinner, movies, etc. I can see them needing some sort of insert in them once the padding wears down some. However, it appears to be a size big because the heel slips off. I was also thinking that it was slightly too big and I should exchange for another size, but I fear the other two reviews were right-on. It has nothing to do with the size, the heel is just not made high enough and it slips off. Such a shame because these shoes are fantastic otherwise.
