AND, the velcro was too short. When I loosened it to be comfortable for my foot, there was only a tiny bit left to "grab on" if you know what I mean, so I had to return them. Too bad though as walking around, in spite of the hang over and the fear that only 1/2 inch of velcro would soon get "tired" and give out, they felt beautiful.
