As with any Earth shoe, the negative heel takes some getting used to if you've never worn it before. That said, these shoes are awesome. Sturdy leather construction, the footbed is very cushy, especially on the ball of your foot. I practice martial arts and these shoes feel like walking across a padded workout mat. So comfy! I have hip and lower back pain (old injuries) and in Earth shoes, I never feel it.
