After reading others' reviews of these Ecco shoes, I decided they were worth taking them on a month long trip to Italy. All I can say is that the reviews were right on and I can add my own accolades for these shoes. I walked and walked every day in these shoes with such comfort that I never used the Merrells I had brought along intending to alternate them with the Eccos. I bought them in black to blend in with the European style of dark shoes and they worked perfectly. They have a bit of style and don't look clunky. The main thing, though, is the absolute comfort and support, including excellent arch support. I definitely would recommend these shoes to anyone needing a terrific walking shoe.
